RTA Allendale Tour

 

58RM towing 40BW arrives at Ballarat on Rail Tourist Association tour to Allendale. 

The first visit of a DERM to Ballarat for some time occurred on Sunday 20th November 1983 when the Rail Tourist Association ran a tour to Newlyn running via 'the straight' on the forward journey and returning via Geelong. The tour utilised DERM 58RM with 40BW. 

On the return journey the RTA tour train had a scheduled stop at Ballarat station allowing passengers to visit the refreshment rooms.
