| T386 and Y151 departs Ballarat with a ballast special to Bacchus Marsh. |
For the second Sunday in a row, ballast trains have run from Ballarat for track works on 'The Straight' between Box Bank Loop and Bacchus Marsh. T386 outshopped last month in V/Line orange and grey leads Y151 on a rake of VHWA hoppers topped and tailed by ZL vans in Ballarat yard. This is most likely the first working of a loco in V/Line colours on a works train.

The train will discharge ballast east of Box bank loop and then run to Bacchus Marsh to run around the wagons before returning to the loading site at Windermere. The ballast special will make two return trips between Windermere and Bacchus Marsh. While these works are occurring, the Sunday Ballarat and Dimboola passenger services and the two interstate express goods will been routed via Geelong.
