Guncotton complex

W243 arrives at Redan on 67 pilot with a consist of AQBY-VFDA-KMQ-KMQ-VLCX

The sidings at the Guncotton complex are usually shunted twice a day, by the 67 and 85 Redan pilots. Today 67 Redan pilot behind W243 has a load of containers and a single lourve van (AQBY-VFDA-KMQ-KMQ-VLCX).

These wagons are pushed into the vacant siding. The W then reverses to clear the points before setting back on the rake of sitting adjacent to the loading ramp and warehouse doors.

The W then pulls these wagons out of the siding and places these wagons on the line back to cattleyards.

It then runs back to the wagons brought by the pilot from Ballarat and places these in the siding adjacent to the loading ramp. W couples up to the other wagons then slowly makes it way back along the Redan line to the junction at the cattleyards.

Here the W runs around the wagons using the loop and then departs for Ballarat. More wagons will be brought out to the Guncotton complex by the afternoon Redan pilot.

The S flat wagon is scratchbuilt out of styrene sheet, the KMQ's are kitbashed from Steam Era Models U van 15ft underframes, the VLCX is from Trainorama.
