At Ballarat East Loco - Sunday 7th October 1984


W250, Y151, Y150 and Y153 stabled around the Ballarat East turntable, 7th October 1984.

At 10am on Sunday 7th October 1984, T359, T348, Y125, T389, W250, Y151, Y150 and Y153 were stabled around the turntable while T363 and T365 were being serviced in the maintenance shed.

S312-S303 had departed earlier to Windermere for ballast specials, as had B75 - X37 which were rostered on the 8122 pass. At 10.15am W250 was turned on the turntable before  departing for the SEC siding at Ballarat North to assist with some shunting within the Steamrail compound where D3 639 is being restored. Its unusual for a W class to be active on a Sunday at Ballarat. 

S312-S303 depart Ballarat East Locomotive Depot for Windermere for ballast train duties.

Returning to the loco depot in the evening C503 recently outshopped in V/Line colours together with B63, S312 and S303 were observed idling at fuel point.
