W250, Y151,S312, S303 and T362 rest around the turntable at Ballarat East, Sunday 30th September 1984 |
On Sunday 30th September 1984, only 5 locos were present at Ballarat East Locomotive Depot with S303, S312, T362, Y151 and W250 observed resting around the turntable. Its unusual to have so few locos stabled at the depot on a Sunday.

Y152-Y150 had departed earlier to Windermere for ballast specials, leaving Y151 and W250 as the only pilot locos at the depot. W243 the other W used on pilot duties, is currently relieving for W247 the resident shunter at Ballarat North Railway Workshops. Whilst at the depot, S303 was turned on the turntable before running the 8 45am pass
