The No.97 afternoon Flour Mill pilot is scheduled to depart Ballarat for Bunge's Garden City Flour Mill at 4:53pm. The pilot usually delivers grain for the mill in GY's, GH's or VHGY's and picks up VPFX hoppers loaded with flour, VLCX and VLBY lourve vans loaded with bagged flour and empty GY's, GH's or VHGY's. The pilot can also shunt at the Doveton street sidings if required.
Today W250 is on 97 Flour Mill pilot. With no wagons to deliver to the mill, W250 runs light engine to Ballarat North crossing from the No.4 road to Down line between Lydiard Street gates and Armstrong Street bridge..
12 minutes later W250 returns on No.98 pilot via the Up line with a short rake of empty GH's. These will be stored in Ballarat yard until required.
