First working of a 930 class on a Ballarat pass.

 

The first working of a 930 class on Ballarat passenger train occurred on the 4th March 1984 when 934 was rostered to work the 8118 Up pass to Spencer Street. 934 had arrived overnight on the 9101 Melbourne - Ballarat Fast Goods with T331 and was then stabled around the turntable at Ballarat East. To return the loco to Melbourne, 934 was rostered solo on the 8118 Up pass, with the clean 930 in green and gold drawing the attention of passengers before its departure.

934 is turned on the Ballarat East turntable is readiness to haul the 8118 pass to Melbourne. 

934 runs to the carriage shed and couples to the set that will form the 8118 pass to Melbourne. 

A couple admire the clean 930 in green and gold as it waits departure time at Ballarat Station.
