A clean C501 runs past Ballarat East signal box on a late running Adelaide - Melbourne Express Goods.. C501 had been sent west from Ararat to rescue this train when the X and S that were hauling the train failed near Lubeck. The defective loco's were detached at Ararat.

At 9:07pm S305 and S307 coast downgrade past Ballarat East locomotive depot with 9147 Melbourne - Adelaide Express Goods.

At 9:32pm B61 runs past Ballarat East Locomotive Depot with 8145 Ballarat pass. B61 with shunt the cars to the carriage shed and then run out to the locomtive depot and stable around the turntable overnight.

At 9:41pm T356 coasts downgrade with a short grain special from the sub terminal at Dunolly. The train will terminate in Ballarat yard with the grain destined for White's Flour Mill. 

At 9:52pm a clean C501 runs past Ballarat East signal box on a very late running Adelaide - Melbourne Express Goods.. C501 had been sent west from Ararat to rescue this train when the X and S that were hauling the train failed near Lubeck. The defective loco's were detached at Ararat.  Y153 shunts the yard making up the 9174 Ballarat – Melb Through Goods.

At 10:30pm C507 on the 9151 Melbourne - Adelaide Express Goods is about to take the staff from the signalman at Ballarat C Box.

At 11:03pm S313 and S300 accelerates upgrade out of Ballarat on the 8141 Overland.

At 11:15pm T359 and T381 await departure time from Ballarat station with the 9174 Ballarat – Melb Through Goods. The train includes freight centre traffic and loading from Ballarat industries.

At 11:30pm, T359 and T381 tackle the 1 in 52 grade of Warrenheip bank with the 9174 Ballarat – Melb Through Goods.

At 11:32pm long end leading, X31 accelerates past the Garden City Flour Mill with the 8143 Down Vinelander.

At 11:43pm T331 runs past Ballarat C Box with a short goods of GY's which have loaded at the silos at Skipton. The silos at Skipton are being cleared ahead of a forecast bumper grain harvest.
