Y175 arrives at Ballarat on the XXX roadside goods from Maryborough. |
Y175 arrived at Ballarat today after recently being outshopped from Bendigo North Railway Workshops in the State Transport Authority's new corporate colours of orange and grey. Y175 arrived on the Up Maryborough Roadside Goods. After leaving the train in the arrival siding, the Y was placed in the Carriage Shed sidings and drew a lot of attention from commuters and railway staff.

The loco then returned to Ballarat and ran out to Ballarat East Locomotive Depot. There was much discussion between locomotive crews on the new colours, the main criticism being that it will show the dirt and won't stay clean for very long.
