Train examiners cabin

within Ballarat's railway yards was a standard Victorian Railways 20ft portable building which was used by train examiners in the preparation of trains for departure. The back of the building was supported on tall stumps with bracing as it sat partly over the side of the embankment that the Ballarat rail yards was situated on.
Its made out of Evengreen styrene V groove, 80 thou spacing, with the Campbell's windows and home made corrugated iron roof. It's painted in standard VR post 1960s colour scheme with light green walls, red roof, cream doors and white guttering and trim. I have made the roof removable so that I can add an interiorat a later date.
The 20ft portable is largely complete although still requires a front step the stumps and support framing beneath the building and the corregated iron fence that linked it to the adjacent main building (which housed the Yard supervisor/foremen and numbertakers office, shunters messroom and locker room). The building will also be weathered when I complete the main yard building.
