I've been wanting to add a bit more variety to the shipping containers, The ACT shipping containers are a good prototype particularly for loading in open wagons due to the size of the logo making it still visible above the sides of the wagon.. I recently found photos on the Australian Shipping Container Modelling facebook page that showed an early 20' plain sided container with side bracing where the part of the C from the ACT logo was missing where the bracing was positioned.

To produce this variant I used an old Powerline plain sided 20' shipping container and a Lineline ACT positive logo decal. This was one of the early containers that had stickers with TNT logos on them. I removed the sticker by soaking the container and then scrapping it away. To produce the bracing I added narrow strips of 10 thou styreneto the the side of the container. The container was spray painted with flat white paint. I cut a narrow band out of the logo before applying the decal to the side of the container. The container was then sprayed with dull coat to protect the decal.
I have also produced another ACT plain sided container but without the bracing.
In the future I'll weather the containers but I still have a few more variations that I'm planning on producing first.
