Does anyone remember the Fun HO! Zinc diecast vehicles that were made in New Zealand? Recently doing a COVID cleanup in the shed I unearthed of box of old Fun HO vehicles. As these are close to right scale I decided to restore a couple for use on the layout.
Most were in poor condition having been used in the sandpit during my childhood in the 1970s, with scratches and chips in the paintwork. I first started disassembling the body from the underframe and then I stripped back the paint to bare metal. I then sprayed the body with primer before painting the body with enamel paint. I replaced the wheels with wheels donated from Matchbox cars. Here are some progress photos and a couple that I have finished.
