Bulk flour containers PF1 and PF2 were constructed by Rex Fowler Pty Ltd from Newcastle and were placed in service during 1979. They were used for the transport of flour and from photos appear to have been used to service the mill at Williamstown.
The containers were built from a SceneMaster 20' tank shipping container. The tank is unmodified but the container frame ends were altered by removing the excess bracing and replacing it with bracing reflecting that of the prototype. Additional bracing was added to the top of the container frame.
Styrene tube was used to produce the piping on the prototype with a hole punch and styrene tube being used to form the 3 roof hatches.
I'm not sure if the PF containers served the Bunge Mill at Ballarat North. I did find a photo on Facebook that shows one of the Flour containers behind W250 on a pilot working at Ballarat.
